I think I need a doctor. I have a case of Red Light Fever.

One of my most recent album purchases, was Red Light Fever by Hot Leg. As I am simply infatuated with this album, I thought I'd blog my review. Enjoy, and I hope it encourages you to have a listen to the album, and maybe purchase it too! SpiceHawk x

As many fans of The Darkness will confirm, the release of this album has been long awaited.
Two and a half years have passed since The Darkness became a distant memory, and they couldn’t have passed slower for the fans of Justin Hawkins and co.
The band decided to call an abrupt end to their highly successful career due to personal reasons, leaving fans bereft and wanting more.

With new tattoos, a new name and a clean mind and soul, Justin ‘Dave’ Hawkins’ new band, Hot Leg, has refreshed the ears of Darkness fans, with a punchy and vibrant album. Displaying an array of foot stomping, eardrum bursting musical treats, Red Light Fever is certainly not a disappointment. The tunes range from the punchy, fist clenching, feel good songs such as “You Can’t Hurt Me Anymore” and “Cocktails” to the sweet and succulent rock ballad “Kissing in the Wind".

A personal favourite is "Ashamed". The song is catchy, and sends a shiver down my spine. I love it!

This album was worth the wait, and is a perfect album to listen to on a Friday night. Although it may not be to everyone’s taste, it is a sure hit for former fans of The Darkness.
I would give this album 10/10 and would recommend it to any fan of great music.

In the words of Hot Leg,

Great Music, Great.
